A young, junior golfer is like a sponge. They absorb as much information as they can. Always learning from what they see. What message are we sending junior golfers by subjecting them to the manufacturers hype marketing? Will they grow into a mindset that they absolutely must have the latest and greatest golf clubs in order to stay competitive which is very inaccurate.
Junior golfers have great potential to grow. To start with properly fitted clubs is very important. Do not let a junior golfer develop their swing using adult sized clubs. This will have a lasting effect on their swing, causing them problems in the future.
Letting a junior golfer mature and grow into their swing over time is a wonderful sight. Its incredible how fast a junior golfer can learn and begin to display some of those great techniques we see the pro's use.
